BSL

At BGP, we are proud to teach British Sign Language (BSL) as part of our Modern Foreign Languages curriculum, alongside Spanish. This approach not only broadens our children’s communication skills but also promotes inclusivity, understanding, and respect for the Deaf community. BSL has a significant impact on our school, particularly within our Hearing Impaired Resource Base, where it plays a vital role in supporting our deaf children and ensuring they are fully included in every aspect of school life. Through learning BSL, all our pupils gain the opportunity to connect, communicate, and celebrate diversity together.
